Doctors Without Borders (MSF) states in a post on X that it has received nine children and their caretakers from Gaza at its reconstructive surgery hospital in Jordan.

Severely injured by relentless Israeli airstrikes across the Strip, the children were evacuated from Gaza in collaboration with the Jordanian Ministry of Health and received by the hospital on Wednesday.

“These children will need long-term rehabilitation, including surgery, physiotherapy and mental health support,” said MSF’s head of mission in Jordan, Cyril Cappai.

“Many of them will need years to heal from what they have endured.”

The post added that this specialised medical care is not available in Gaza due to the destruction of its health system, and according to WHO estimates, over 10,000 patients need medical evacuation from Gaza.
