The UN agency for Palestinian refugees (UNRWA) has called for investigations into the killing and injury of Palestinians trying to access food through the current US- and Israeli- backed food distribution mechanism in Gaza.
“When trying to retrieve the limited food that the Israeli authorities have permitted to enter, they have been shot at and crushed by trucks,” the group said in a post on X.
“Lift the siege now. Aid delivery must be safe, dignified, and accessible to all.
“Let the UN, including UNRWA, do the work.”
