PESHAWAR, May 13: Federal Minister for Political Affairs Amir Muqam has said that the government has taken steps to eradicate poverty and unemployment from the country.

The minister said that a comprehensive strategy has been formulated for the provision of basic amenities to people and to bring the under-developed areas at par with other parts of the country.

Addressing a public gathering at Sharifabad in Mardan district on Saturday, the minister said that under the Kushal Pakistan Programme roads have been built natural gas, electricity and clean drinking water have been supplied to different areas of the NWFP.

He said that the ruling PML could pull the country out of the crisis.—APP
