KARACHI, May 12: Six vessels carrying containers, steel coils and soyabean meal are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Saturday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was relatively slow where three ships, Calvin P Titus to unload and load containers, Envoyger to load general cargo and Ryoma Ro Ro carrier.

Four ships, Hyundai Stride, Y.M.Moon, Inaba and Ji Xiang Kou departed on Friday, while Precious, MOL Kauri, Thor Captain and Nordwoge are due to sail out on Saturday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was brisk where a total tonnage of 0.124m tons comprising 24,813 tons of export cargo including 8,269 tons of rice and 99,247 tons of import cargo was handled.

The following ships are due on Saturday: Hanjin Busan, with containers, Furia-R and Bi Bi M, both with coal, Badulu Valley, with 3,550 tons of soyabean meal, Yoing Xiang-9, with project cargo and Orientor-2, with steel coils.
