Qatar’s Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani has met Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi on the sidelines of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation summit, Al Jazeera reports.

Sheikh Mohammed discussed with Araghchi “the continued Israeli aggression against the territory of the sisterly Republic of Iran”.

The Qatari foreign ministry described Israel’s action as a “flagrant violation of Iran’s sovereignty and security, and a clear breach of the principles of international law”.

Qatar’s prime minister stressed the need to “de-escalate tensions and resolve disputes”.
