ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Nasir Iqbal outclassed Lai Cheuk Nam of Hong Kong to advance to the quarter-finals of the 23rd Asian Individual Squash Championships in Kuching, Malaysia on Wednesday.

Nasir won the match 3-1 (11-7, 2-11, 11-5, 11-8) to qualify for the last-eight stage, and next faces Henry Leung, also of Hong Kong, on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Noor Zaman, Nasir’s compatriot, lost to Joachim Chuah of Malaysia 3-2 (11-3, 11-3, 3-11, 10-12, 11-2) in their pre-quarterfinal.
