Provincial Finance Minister Mir Shoaib Nosherwani, while presenting the budget for fiscal year 2025-26, said law and order was a challenge

He said that the government spent Rs51. 33bn

Rs18bn earmarked for safe city cameras across province

during the current financial year on improving law and order and strengthening the police and Balochistan Constabulary.

He further said that Rs957.3 million were released for the increase the capacity of Levies Force with the provision of new wireless and other equipment, vehicles and motorcycles.

Mr Nosherwani said drones and night-vision goggles have also been purchased for the Levies Force.

He said that Rs102.5m was also spent for purchasing arms and ammunition.

According to the minister, steps were taken to make CTD more effective, which played an important role in curbing terrorism.

“A sum of Rs18 billion has been allocated for the safe city project in eight cities of Balochistan,” he said.
