According to an official statement, the meeting discussed the draft of the Electric Vehicles Policy 2025, with the PM emphasising the need for swift and priority-based measures to promote electric motorcycles, scooters, three-wheelers, cars, and buses across Pakistan.

“Set up charging infrastructure, including charging stations and battery swapping facilities, to support the expansion of the EV ecosystem,” he directed.

The premier also instructed that relevant industries be facilitated to enhance the local manufacturing capacity of electric two-wheelers and three-wheelers.

Federal ministers Muhammad Aurangzeb and Rana Tanveer Hussain and adviser Ahad Cheema were among the participants of the meeting.

Meanwhile, PML-N leader Khawaja Saad Rafique called on PM Shehbaz. The two leaders held a detailed discussion on the current political situation in the country, reaffirming their commitment to addressing national challenges through unity and democratic dialogue.
