QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti on Saturday consulted PPP ministers and lawmakers over the upcoming provincial budget.
CM Bugti and Balochistan Assembly members belonging to PPP discussed public welfare projects, equitable resource distribution, and development priorities.
Balochistan Assembly Deputy Speaker Ghazala Gola also attended the meeting.
The PPP ministers and assembly members hailed the launch of new transport projects, calling them a “significant step forward” for the region. The meeting also discussed the provincial government’s performance in health, law and order and development sectors.
CM Bugti noted that for the first time in history, over 90 per cent of funds under the Public Sector Development Programme were utilised in Balochistan.
He emphasised efforts to foster inter-party harmony and political consensus across the province.
CM Bugti added that the government’s objective extended beyond merely preparing the budget.
“We aim to deliver practical and meaningful services to the public.”
He further noted that consultation with parliamentary parties has been integrated into the budget proposals to ensure inclusivity.
“Development projects are not mere paper promises,” he said, claiming that progress will be visible on the ground.
Restoring public confidence and enhancing service delivery remain the top priorities of the government, Mr Bugti said, and called upon all stakeholders to “collectively lay the foundation for a brighter future in Balochistan”.
