US-backed Gaza aid group says resumes food distribution

The US-backed Gaza Humanitarian Fund has said it resumed food distribution in the Palestinian territory, after pausing operations for a day following deadly shootings, AFP reports.

“GHF can confirm that we were open for distribution today,” the group said in an email to AFP, adding it had delivered 1.4 million meals at two separate sites and 8.4 million meals since opening on May 27.
