KHAIRPUR, May 9: Executive irrigation engineer, east division, announced rotation schedule for different canals and channels due to shortage of irrigation water in Sukkur Barrage, said an official handout on Tuesday.

The handout puts wahs (canals) and tributaries in two groups and says in the first group, Sehto Wah, Faiz Bux Wah, Ali Bahar Wah, Shahnawaz Wah, Khan Wah, Bilawal Wah, Sada Rang Wah, Saneesa Minor, Pandhro Wah and Faiz Ganj Wah which were opened on May 9, would be closed on May 17.

In the second group, Sehto Wah system (minors), Sanhiro Wah, Dedhano Minor, Saveri Minor, Saun Wah, Kalra Minor, Ali Nawaz Wah, Veeho Wah and direct outlets from Mir Wah would be opened on May 17 and closed on May 25.—BoC
