ISLAMABAD: Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Omar Ayub Khan has condemned the terrorist attack in Surab district of Balochistan that led to the martyrdom of an additional deputy commissioner (ADC).

Expressing deep sorrow and grief over the martyrdom of ADC, Omar Ayub paid rich tribute to the officer for his bravery and sacrifice in the line of duty. “ADC Hidayatullah Bilidi fought courageously against the terrorists and embraced martyrdom while defending his people and country,” he said.

The opposition leader condemned the attack on the ADC’s official residence in Surab and the arson of buildings by terrorists, calling it a heinous act intended to destabilise the peace in Balochistan.

“Terrorists who aim to destroy the peace of Balochistan must be dealt with an iron hand. These elements are not only enemies of Balochistan but enemies of Pakistan,” he stated.

He also commended the security forces for their response, which led to the elimination of five terrorists. “The entire nation salutes the courage and professionalism of our armed forces,” he stated.

The opposition leader called on the state to ensure that all anti-state elements were crushed and that their nefarious designs were defeated. “There will be zero tolerance for terrorism. The entire Pakistani nation stands united with its armed forces in the fight to root out terrorism from our soil,” he added.
