Human smuggler arrested

GUJRAT, May 8: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) claimed on Monday to have arrested a human smuggler from Sukh Chenan village near Lalamusa. Gujranwala FIA deputy-director Naeem Akram Bhroka told Dawn by telephone that Zafar Iqbal was wanted for the previous two years. He said one Sajjad of Dina Chak (Lalamusa) had given Rs300,000 to Zafar in 2004 to send him to Spain but he failed. On this the agency had lodged an FIR against the accused on the complaint of Sajjad.

He said a team, led by inspector Riaz Janjuwa, had conducted a raid and arrested the accused from Sukh Chenan.
