TAXILA: Three persons were arrested in connection with a murder case registered against them in Jand police station in February last year.

The police spokesman said that Aqib and his brother Imran and Mohammad Ashiq were reportedly concealing their identities to evade arrest. A police spokesperson stated that the accused were on the list of proclaimed offenders and had managed to evade arrests for over a year.

“Their arrest marks a significant success in our efforts to bring justice to the victims and their families,” the official added.

Meanwhile, a man was arrested for allegedly drugging and sexually assaulting his sister-in-law while her husband was working abroad, police said.

According to the FIR lodged at Hazro police station, the victim, wife of Mohammad Sohail, a resident of Musa village, stated that she had been married for nine years and is a mother of three. Her husband has been employed overseas for the past one year.
