LAHORE, May 7: PML president Chaudhry Shujaat Husain and Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi have said that the party will elect President Pervez Musharraf for another term in the larger interest of the country.

Talking to reporters on Sunday in Pahrianwali village in Mandi Bahauddin district, Chaudhry Shujaat said it was a great honour for him that President Musharraf and party leaders had reposed confidence in him.

The PML leaders had gone to Pahrianwali to attend the “Qul” of Chaudhry Faiz Ahmed, the father of District Nazim Riaz Asghar Chaudhry.

Shujaat said there was no difference of opinion in the party on electing President Musharraf for another term. Chaudhry Pervaiz said the party was united and differences had been resolved.
