LAHORE: Pakistan’s baseball team will lock horns against arch-rivals India in the semi-final of the 16th BFA West Asia Baseball Cup match in Tehran on Tuesday.

Pakistan — who comfortably defeated Bangladesh and hosts Iran in the their Group ‘B’ matches earlier — are undefeated in the tournament so far and will look to keep the winning momentum when they take on India.“We are in a perfect position to beat India and secure their spot in the final,” Pakistan Federation Baseball (PFB) secretary Fakhar Ali Shah said in a press release. “The morale of the team is high and the players will showcase their best game against India.”

The PFB also claimed that the national team had never lost any baseball match against India.

In the event, Pakistan defeated Bangladesh 10-6 and Iran 14-0 to secure the first position.
