KASUR, May 6: The toll from the scorching heat has started swelling throughout the Punjab. In Kasur, the heatwave claimed lives of three people, including a woman, and left dozens of others fainted on Saturday.

Reports said that Sabeena Bibi of Ganda Singhwala village had come to Kasur. She fell unconscious on Railway Road and was rushed to the DHQ Hospital where she died.

Similarly, Atta Muhammad of Qadiwind and an unknown person also fell victims to simmering heat. While dozens of people also fainted in different parts of the district.

SIALKOT: At least eight people, including four children, fainted in Sialkot district as the mercury touched 45 degrees Celsius.
