BAHAWALPUR: Sadiq Public School (SPS) Principal David Dowdles left Bahawalpur on May 10 and reached London without informing his staff and competent authority.

Dawn learnt from reliable sources that Mr Dowdles left the country before a scheduled meeting of SPS’s Board of Governors on May 16 at Governor House, Lahore.

A board member told Dawn that the BoG meeting took serious notice of the principal’s mysterious disappearance and leaving Bahawalpur though he was supposed to be with students during the Indo-Pak crisis.

The principal virtually joined the meeting and tendered his resignation verbally.

Mr David Dowdles was hired by SPS in March 2023 for a period of three years.

Vice Principal Mian Muhammad Ahmad is now looking after the SPS.
