Israeli-American soldier Edan Alexander has left the hospital and returned to his grandmother’s house in Tel Aviv after being released from Hamas captivity, his parents said in a statement, according to Al Jazeera.

Alexander, who grew up in New Jersey in the United States before joining the Israeli military, will remain in Tel Aviv to receive rehabilitation for his injuries, according to his parents, Yael and Adi Alexander.

This includes “injuries to his hands caused when a tunnel collapsed on him” and injuries from October 7, 2023, that have gone untreated until now, his parents said.
