TAXILA: The Fatehjang police on Friday claimed to have arrested a man who stabbed his father to deathover some domestic dispute on Dhokari road near Methu Khan Dam in the limits of Fatehjang police station on April 29.

Police sources said that the man after exchange of hot words with father took out a knife and stabbed him to death and fled .

However, police through human intelligence arrested the nominated accused. The suspect revealed to the interrogation team that his father was not arranging his marriage, so he killed him to take revenge.

In a related development, police on Friday claimed to have arrested an accused over beating, trashing and misbehaving with his elderly mother, under the Parents Protection Ordinance 2021.

The woman, a widow and resident of Sheenbagh, reported to Attock police that her son Kashif Javaid, an ice addict beats her when she refuses to give her money for drugs.

The suspect tortured her and tried to throw her out of the house.
