Speaking to Geo News, PML-N Senator Irfan Siddiqui says that in his speech, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi admitted that India started hostilities.

“There was nothing credible in this speech. The only thing he admitted was that India started this conflict and that it was on the foundation of [retaliation for] the Pahalgam incident, for which no evidence has been presented.

Speaking about Modi’s claims that Pakistan requested a ceasefire, the senator called them “a lie” and said, “If Pakistan wanted a ceasefire, it could have called for a ceasefire at any time. On May 10, when you were defeated, worried and saying prayers, were we going to request it then? We all know who requested a ceasefire.

“Now Modi has a new war — with 1.5 billion people, to whom he cannot sell anything,” Siddiqui said. “His political position has been affected by this defeat. Pakistan’s friends stood with us during this conflict, but nobody stood with India.”
