Sindh Home Minister Ziaul Hassan Lanjar says he has directed law enforcement agencies, along with medical, rescue and civil defence personnel, to be on high alert.
“All relevant authorities have been instructed to report for duty at once,” a statement by the Sindh home minister said.
“District administrations across Sindh have been directed to remain on alert 24/7 for civil defence. Siren and warning systems are to remain active in case of an emergency.”
“Shelters should be identified and made functional,” Lanjar added.
