BADIN: The 258th annual urs of founder of Dargah Aalia Luari Sharif, Hazrat Sultan-ul-Awliya Khwaja Muhammad Zaman Siddiqui Naqshbandi was celebrated at his shrine in Luari Sharif on Friday.

The main ceremony of the urs was held at the shrine on the directives of the current custodian, Pir Muhammad Sadiq Qureshi Naqshbandi, in which Pir Muhammad Saleh Qureshi among a large number of disciples and devotees also participated.

The urs began with Zuhr (mid-day) prayers, followed by Quran recitation, dhikr, and hymns of praise, culminating in a special prayer for the safety and progress of Pakistan, armed forces and the nation.

Langar (free food) was served to the disciples and devotees throughout the day. The urs was managed efficiently by office-bearers and members of the Nishat Tanzeem Jamaat Luari Sharif, Najia Students Organisation, and the Nishat Girls Wing.

The saint’s urs was also celebrated at other locations, including the Dargah Sharif of Qazi Ahmed Qureshi, Islam Qalb in Karachi, Hyderabad, Sanghar, Naushahro Feroze, Larkana, Dadu, Sita and Gandakha (Balochistan).
