LAHORE: The Punjab home department has notified the establishment of 36 new police stations under the Crime Control Department across the province and determined their territorial jurisdiction.
The home department has notified the establishment of three CCD police stations in Lahore and one each in other 35 districts in the province.
While the CCD is being equipped on modern lines, the new police stations have been established to control crime and maintain peace in the province.
A home department spokesman said the Punjab government was providing equipment, resources and support to the law enforcement agencies.
