LAHORE, May 3: Pakistan has nominated former Test captain Majid Khan for the post of chairman of International Cricket Council (ICC) cricket committee.

The elections are scheduled next month.

Presently the committee is headed by Sunil Gavaskar of India.

Majid is serving as member of the committee and will present the case of medium-pacer Shabbir Ahmed, who is facing a one-year ban due to his illegal bowling action.

Meanwhile, the ICC has not included any referee from Pakistan in its panel.

The PCB had recommended Talat Ali Malik, Naushad Ali, Pervez Sajjad and Hasan Jamil for the panel.
