GUJRANWALA, May 3: A local court fined Rs100,000 to the owner of a spinning mills for offering meal to guests in valima in violation of the marriage act and the Supreme Court order on Wednesday.

Reports said that Adeel Yousaf offered a wide variety of meals, including chicken and mutton, to his guests at the Officers Club. While special judicial magistrate Ghulam Mustafa Sheikh raided there and fined him. However, the mills owner deposited the money with the court forthwith to avoid litigation.

The court adjourned the case against Officers Club’s secretary and other officials till

Thursday (today).
