DESERTED GRAVEYARDS: Most graveyards in cities and villages wear a deserted look as people do not deem it necessary anymore to visit the graves of their loved ones. Sadly, many graveyards have been desecrated or grabbed by land-grabbers in different parts of the country. A few individuals in village Umar Bhayo, falling within the jurisdiction of Larkana, have taken steps for the restoration of the local graveyard, which is a commendable step. There is a need to have a boundary wall around the graveyard. This is possible only if the district administration gets involved.

RELENTLESS HONKING: The constant honking in our streets has become a part of our daily soundscape. It is just as annoying as it is harmful. Noise pollution from honking affects everyone, from students trying to focus on their studies to the elderly trying to have some peace and rest. It creates stress, disturbs peace, and even contributes to hearing problems over time. What is worse is that a lot of this honking is avoidable as many drivers do it out of habit. It is high time we took the matter seriously. Along with this, awareness campaigns, stricter fines, and better driving etiquette can go a long way towards making the city quieter and calmer.

EXAMINATION CENTRES: The examinations to be conducted by the Balochistan Public Service Commission (BPSC) are just around the corner, but, due to security concerns, the Balochistan government has imposed Section 144 across the province, causing severe difficulties to all the candidates who have to travel from different areas to Quetta, which is the only examination centre in the province. The BPSC should consider either postponing the tests and interviews until the security situation improves, or establishing examination centres in other divisions as well, such as Kalat, Makran and Rakshan, to facilitate the candidates.
