PST releases Rs2m to PBF

KARACHI, May 2: Pakistan Sports Trust (PST) has released a special grant of two million rupees for the Pakistan Boxing Federation (PBF) for preparations of upcoming SAF and Asian Games assignments.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, PBF chief Professor Anwer Chaudhary thanked PST for the grant that came in response of PBF letter in which the federation asked for R4.5 million grant that would be spent during boxer's eight-week training in Kazakhstan as a built for the mega events.

According to PBF, all the preparations for the boxers have been completed and the boxers would leave for Kazakhstan later this month.

Besides training, Pakistani boxers would also compete in the International boxing event in Kazakhstan.—PPI
