Far-right Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich has called for Israel to deepen the fighting in Gaza, after Hamas signalled its rejection of the most recent ceasefire proposal, AFP reports.
“The time has come to open the gates of hell on Hamas, to deepen the fighting until the full conquest of the Gaza Strip,” Smotrich said, following an announcement by the Palestinian fighter group that it would not accept a “partial” ceasefire.
