LAHORE, May 2: City police chief Additional IG Khwaja Khalid Farooq on Tuesday expressed displeasure over non-completion of data about the snatched cell phones. The additional IG conveyed the displeasure while presiding over a meeting of the investigation police wing, issuing directions for the completion of the record at the earliest. He said the record was required to be submitted to the cell phone companies for blocking the operation of the snatched cell phones.

The police chief also asked the SP of CIA police to furnish a list of snatched cars and their buyers in the NWFP to further take up the matter with departments concerned. He also directed the SP to keep a vigil on the anti car-lifting staff for the prevention of the incidents of car and motorcycle snatching.

Mr Farooq directed all the investigation police SPs to prepare a list of hardened criminals with their record of the last three years. He also asked the SPs to update the list of all hardened criminals, who had been set free on bail in the last some months.
