FAISALABAD, May 2: Masked highwaymen snatched Rs2 million from an industrialist on Sargodha Road here on Tuesday. Factory owner and yarn dealer Mian Pervaiz was going to his factory after withdrawing the amount from a bank when he was intercepted by the highwaymen. They snatched the bag containing the cash and made good their escape.

Police teams rushed to the spot but failed to find any clue to the felons.

DEATH SENTENCE: An anti-terrorism court has handed down death sentence on six counts to Noor Ahmad of Chuttiana police station in Toba Tek Singh district involved in killings of six members of his family.

According to the prosecution, Noor Ahmad, a resident of Chak 314-GB, murdered his father Nawab Ali, brother Ghafran, nephews Ali Raza and Muhammad Ramzan and nieces Farhat and Aneta on March 3 this year.

The court also imposed Rs1.2 million fine on him.
