Brothers shot dead

KHAIRPUR, May 2: Two people were killed and one was seriously injured on the Kumb-Nawabshah road here on Tuesday . Three people of the Chang community, Punhal, 50, Waryam, 25, brothers, and Qurban, 30, were on their way from the Tarai Chang village to attend hearing of a case in Thari Mirwah, when they reached near the gate of Faqir Khush Khair Mohammad Hisbani, some armed men who were hiding there opened fire on them. Punhal and Waryam

died instantly whereas their cousin Qurban was seriously injured and taken to a Nawabshah hospital.

The bodies were handed over to their relatives after autopsy from the rural health centre, Pakka Chang.

Mashori and Chang communities had a dispute over kidnapping of two women namely Ms Husna and Ms Fatima some five years ago. The dispute was settled by Pir Abdul Qadir Jilani of Ranipur and the kidnapped women were given back to their communities.
