BAHAWALPUR: The Punjab health department has installed a new CT Scan machine at the emergency department of the Bahawal Victoria Hospital on Wednesday.
The machine was made functional by BVH CEO and Principal Prof Dr Sufia Farrukh of Quaid-e-Azam Medical College hawalpur at a ceremony held at the hospital emergency.
On the occasion, BVH Medical Superintendent Dr Aamir Mahmood Bokhari told Dawn the most modern CT machine has cost a sum of Rs 400 million.
It can handle 100 emergency cases daily. He said it was second CT scan machine in the emergency department and with its installation, the complaints of emergency patients regarding delay in their scans could be resolved.
The MS said the BVH had now improved the supply of medicines to indoor and outdoor patients.

According to prosecution, the convict raped the boy last year. The case was lodged on the complaint of boys father.
