Police station hit by grenade in Kachhi, no injuries

DERA MURAD JAMALI: An unknown armed man riding a motorcycle attacked a police station in Bhag town of Kachhi district with a hand grenade on Wednesday.

According to police, the grenade landed inside the premises of the police station and exploded, damaging a police vehicle parked at the site. The blast also affected the station’s walls, and window panes were shattered due to the impact.

“Fortunately, no loss of life or injuries occurred in the explosion inside the police station,” said Kachhi SSP Rana Muhammad Dilawar. He added that police rushed to the site immediately after the blast and launched an investigation.

The SSP said an inquiry is underway, while police have sealed the entry and exit points of the area and initiated a search operation.
