RAWALPINDI: Inspector Mansoor Asghar of Motorway police lost his life in the line of duty near M-4 Motorway Aminpur.

The incident occurred when a truck, driven by a sleepy driver, collided with a patrolling vehicle.

The martyred inspector was advocating for drowsy driving prevention when the accident occurred due to the same reason. The truck driver was arrested.

The inspector was a resident of Faisalabad. He had joined Motorway police in 2007 and was known for his honesty, professionalism, and dedication to public service.

His funeral prayers were held in Faisalabad, where a smartly turned-out contingent of Motorway police presented guard of honour.

Senior officials, including IG Motorway Police B.A. Nasir, Additional IG police , central region DIG Saad Akhtar Bharwana, and DIG Dar Ali Khattak, along with a large number of officers and citizens, attended his funeral.

The martyred inspector is survived by his parents, wife and four children.
