CHARSADDA: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) provincial president and Federal Minister Amir Muqam has asked Afghan government to improve its relations with Pakistan for the interest of both the countries.

He was talking to journalists at the residence of PML-N district president Mian Humayun Shah Kakakhel. He said that negotiations with the Afghan government were not the domain of provincial government. He said that provincial government should share its proposal with the federal government.

He said that Pakistan and Afghanistan were inseparable and peace in Pakistan was linked to peace in Afghanistan. He said that Pakistan did not close doors of negotiations with Afghanistan. The Afghan government, he said, should also opt for negotiations and prevent its territory from being used against Pakistan.

Mr Muqam said that the entire nation should unite beyond politics to eliminate terrorism. He said that peace was established to a great extent by controlling terrorism. He said that negotiations were held with terrorists during the PTI era and they were released and brought back, which disturbed peace in the province.

Urges Afghan rulers to improve ties with Pakistan

He termed Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur’s statement regarding not expelling illegal Afghans a political stunt. He said that provincial government was getting its share in funds, due to which it was paying salaries to employees.

He said that all mega projects in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were initiated during the government of PML-N. He said that no province was being discriminated against regarding electricity loadshedding. He power loadshedding was observed on the basis of recovery in the relevant areas.

EDUCATION: Provincial Minister Fazal Shakoor Khan has said that private institutions are playing key role in promoting quality education.

He was addressing the annual day ceremony at Peshawar Millennium School (PMS) Charsadda. He said that government was taking all necessary steps to promote education in line with modern requirements. He said that education was among the top priorities of government.

The minister said that in the modern era of science and technology, the dream of progress and prosperity could not be realised without education. He said that teachers should also focus on training of students along with education to make them useful citizens.

On the occasion, prizes and trophies were distributed among position holders. Six teachers of the school were given complete Umrah package with cash prizes. Students presented tableaus, sketches and national songs.
