The family of Anwar al-Attar has given the civil defence officer a final farewell after his body was retrieved from Rafah city’s Tal as-Sultan area during an Israeli siege, Al Jazeera reports.
In a video posted on Instagram and verified by Al Jazeera’s Sanad unit, the family is seen crying over the body shrouded in a white cloth.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society said yesterday that its team were able to recover one body, as the fate of eight other medics remained unknown.
