The military is currently attacking targets of the Hezbollah group in southern Lebanon, Al Jazeera reports citing a brief statement by the Israeli military.
It added further details are to follow.
Earlier, Hezbollah said it remained committed to a November 27 ceasefire agreement and denied any involvement in rocket launches that reportedly targeted northern Israel.
