Shabbir Iqbal maintains lead

PESHAWAR, April 29: Shabbir Iqbal posted a card of 67 to maintain his lead over on the second day of the Frontier Open golf championship being played over 54-holes at PAF Golf Course on Saturday.

Imdad Hussain with his second round card of 69 moved into second for two round score of 141. He had a 72 on the opening day.

Shabbir carded 35 with only one birdie and 32 at back nine with four birdies by aggregating 132, 12 under par over 36 holes.

Akhtar Ali with 142 is in third spot, 36 at front and 39 at back nine with only two birdies and three missed strokes

Waqas, with two under par 139 led (0-12 HCP) gross, followed by Adil Jehangir (71+71)=142, two under par.

In the pro-Veterans played over 18-hole Shoukat Ali (37+35)=72 took first position, followed by Hasan Akhbar of Kohat with (75) and Iftikhar Ahmed and Nawaz (76) tied for third place.—APP
