LAHORE: The Punjab School Education Department (SED) on Wednesday announced Eidul Fitr holidays in all public schools of the province from March 28 to April 6.

According to a notification, all public schools shall remain closed from Friday (March 28) until Sunday (April 6). The schools shall reopen on April 7. However, academic and non-academic staff will remain present for the announcement of result on Friday (April 4) during this period.

Meanwhile, the University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore, including all its campuses and affiliated colleges, will remain closed from Monday to Friday in observance of Eid holidays. The university will reopen on April 7. Any additional holidays will be adjusted through compensatory work on Saturdays, when required.

Earlier, Lahore Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education announced that grade-IX annual examinations will continue according to its datesheet schedule. The papers on March 28 and April 4 will be held as per schedule.
