MUZAFFARGARH: Police claimed on Wednesday to have recovered five kilogram ‘ice’ drug worth Rs5 million and 15kg hash valuing Rs1.5m from two women who were apparently selling bangles.

A case has also been registered against both women belonging to an inter-provincial drug trafficking gang.

Civil Lines Station House Officer Kamran, while holding a press conference along with other police officials, said the police had received information that a large consignment of drugs was being supplied by an inter-provincial gang from Obaro and Sadiqabad. On the information of the informant, the police arrested two women Bakhtiar alias Haleema and Firdous alias Janu from Alipur Bypass and Turki Bypass.

According to the SHO, the arrested women were supplying ice and hashish from Obaro and Sadiqabad to Muzaffargarh.

The police seized the boxes carrying the contraband and arrested the women.
