TAXILA: A new electric bus service aimed at providing affordable and eco-friendly commute on Fatehjang-Islamabad route was inaugurated at the Fatehjang bus terminal.

The initiative is expected to ease travel challenges for residents, especially for students and employees commuting to the federal capital.

Sardar Faizan Haider, son of Punjab governor, inaugurated the electric bus service. Assistant Commissioner Humaira Shah, President of the PPP Attock chapter Ashar Hayat Khan, and other party leaders were present on the occasion.

Speaking at the event, Mr Haider expressed the hope that the extension of electric bus routes from Islamabad to Fatehjang and surrounding areas would reduce travel difficulties of the people.

He added that the initiative is a step towards reducing traffic congestion and carbon emissions, making Attock’s public transport system more sustainable.

“Every town of the district deserves access to a modern transport system. This initiative will help bridge disparities and enhance the quality of life for residents,” he added.

President PPP Attock chapter Ashar Hayat Khan, while speaking on this occasion, said during a meeting with Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider Khan, CDA Chairman Mohammad Ali Randhawa discussed the expansion of electric bus routes to improve connectivity of Fatehjang and Hassanabdal with Islamabad.
