Lebanese officials are holding talks with US-led ceasefire monitors, Zeina Khodr of Al Jazeera notes.

“People have not returned to northern Israel in large numbers. But questions are being raised over what Israel achieved after all these months of conflict with Hezbollah, because the government said it brought security to those border towns,” Khodr states.

“So there is a lot of concern the situation will spiral out of control. What we understand is Lebanese officials are holding talks with the US-led committee monitoring the ceasefire to try to de-escalate tensions”, the reporter concluded.
