LAKKI MARWAT: The representatives of business community asked the district administration to take notice of inconvenience faced by people owing to closure of Miranshah road and address traffic issues in Bannu.

During a meeting with Deputy Commissioner Abdul Hameed Khan at his office on Thursday, they highlighted various issues faced by shopkeepers and traders. They said that closure of Miramshah road badly impacted business activities.

They also asked government to take practical steps for removal of encroachments in urban areas. They said that shortage of space for parking vehicles caused nuisance to people.

The deputy commissioner told them that his administration formulated a comprehensive traffic plan to ease flow of vehicles on roads and address parking issues.

KILLED: A teenage boy was killed over a petty dispute in Wanda Amir area of Lakki Marwat district on Thursday.

Police said that after an exchange of harsh words, Hasan opened firing on Ishtiaq, 15, with his pistol and killed him on the spot. They said that the attacker managed to escape.

Another teenager was shot at and wounded in Kakakhel area of Ghaznikhel. Injured Mohammad Suleman, 16, told police that he was working in the fields when Abrar came there and started abusing him. “When I tried to stop him, he took out his pistol and fired at me,” he alleged.
