BAHAWALPUR, April 28: Four armed men killed an intelligence agency driver and made good their escape with the official vehicle from Satellite Town’s Ghousia park on Thursday night.

According to reports, Habibur Rehman was standing near his vehicle as his officials were busy in investigation in the area when four armed men tried to get hold of the vehicle keys. Habib put up resistance reacting to which they shot him dead. They drove away with the pick-up.

On receiving information, the local police cordoned off the area and arrested the absconders.

ASP (city) Mahar Zulfiqar told journalists at press conference on Friday that the culprits abandoned the vehicle near Shadab Colony and hired a rickshaw. The police arrested ring leader Muhammad Shah, Muhammad Ashar and Faisal Sheikh while their fourth accomplice, Riaz was later arrested from his house.

The arrested men, he said, confessed several carjacking hits.
