ISLAMABAD: In a commanding performance, Pakistan’s team sweep Bangladesh 3-0 to secure their spot in the semi-finals of the Junior Davis Cup at Kuchinh, Malaysia, on Thursday.

Hamza Roman comfortably defeated Khabbo Gayen 6-3, 6-1 in the opening rubber while Mikael Ali Baig sealed Pakistan’s progression with an even more emphatic victory, outclassing Muntanvir Tushar 6-2, 6-0 in the second singles.

In the doubles action, the duo of Hamza and Abubakar Talha continued the winning streak, overcoming the Bangladeshi pair of Gayen and Tushar with a solid 6-4, 6-1 victory.

Pakistan team will now look ahead to their semi-finals clash against Vietnam on Friday.
