PESHAWAR, April 26: The 24th annual PAF Hifz-o-Qiraat competition was held at the PAF auditorium, Air Headquarters, here on Wednesday. Eight contestants who had secured first positions at the zonal level participated in the final round, said a press release issued by the directorate of public relations of the PAF here.

Senior technician Badar, armament fitter, PAF Academy, Risalpur, stood first in the Qiraat competition and will be sent to perform Haj with expenses to be paid by the PAF. Chief technician Azizur Rehman, general fitter, F-6 Rebuilt Factory, Kamra, who secured first position in the Hifz competition, will also be sent for Haj.

Speaking on the occasion, Air Marshal Aurangzeb Khan, Deputy Chief of the Air Staff (Training), who was the chief guest, urged PAF bases and units to devote more attention to such activities, along with their professional commitments. Later, he gave away prizes to the winners.
