QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti has said the needs of remote districts of the province should be prioritised in the federal and provincial development schemes.

The CM issued these directives on Saturday while chairing a meeting to review the proposed provincial development projects of the federal Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) 2025-26.

The meeting was attended by the provincial minister for planning and development, Mir Zahoor Ahmed Buledi; Chief Secretary Shakeel Qadir Khan; Additional Chief Secretary (Planning and Development) Hafiz Abdul Basit; Finance Secretary Imran Zarkoon; Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Babar Khan and other officials.

The additional chief secretary (planning and development) briefed the meeting on development projects in agriculture, irrigation, drinking water, communication, energy, health and other sectors proposed in the upcoming federal development program.

CM Bugti said only feasible projects should be included in the federal PSDP. He said the provincial government will present its case for construction and development projects in Balochistan before the federal government.
