Amir Hamza propels Pakistan

ISLAMABAD, April 25: Pakistan defeated Pakistan ‘A’ 3-0 on Tuesday in the AFC Under-14 Festival of Football, thanks to a brace of goals by Amir Hamza.

In the clash of the home teams under Format II that comprised matches of 60-minute durations, Adil put Pakistan ‘A’ in front on the 49th minute before Amir struck twice in the last three minutes of the play to seal the fate of the match.

The ‘A’ team however tasted victory later by winning two matches, one against Sri Lanka and the other against Bhutan.

Imran netted the solitary goal against the Lankans while Mohammad and Gibran bin Salman were on target against Bhutan.

In other matches, Nepal beat Bangladesh 2-0, the goals came from Nirajan Malla on the 20th minute and Ganesh Khadka seconds before the game ended.

Bangladesh however had something to smile later in the day when they inflicted a 2-0 defeat on Sri Lanka, M. Parvez and M. Shohel were the goal scorers.
