LARKANA: Shahanshah Aryamehr Mohammad Raza Pahlevi of Iran and Prime Minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto have expressed complete unanimity of thought and identity of views on all subjects they discussed during their talks. At a dinner hosted by the Prime Minister at “Al-Murtaza” … the Shahanshah said during their extensive talks he and Mr Bhutto had covered every conceivable subject and there was no difference of opinion between Pakistan and Iran on any matter. … Prime Minister Bhutto … said although the occasion was informal, he would not let it pass without expressing the deep respect which the people of Pakistan had for the Shahanshah. … The [PM] said that Pakistan greatly cherished the relationship and pledged that Pakistan would always stand by Iran in everything.

[Meanwhile,] echoes of protest will be heard far and wide when Pakistanis from Khyber to Karachi observe the countrywide hartal today [Feb 28] to condemn Indira-Abdullah deal and to reaffirm nation’s solidarity with the people of Kashmir. Being observed in response to a call given by [PM Bhutto], the hartal will also be observed in Occupied Kashmir and by Pakistanis and Kashmiris overseas.
